Zhuhai seeks common development in Shenzhen

Zhuhai took advantage of the Jan 12-16 Fifth Shenzhen Entrepreneurs Convention to promote its favorable business climate and attract investment in its prioritized industries including information technology, high-end manufacturing, and biomedicine.

The Shenzhen Entrepreneurs Convention, initiated in 2014, is one of the most influential and innovative economic gatherings in the country. This year's event concentrated on the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and other topics, and was attended by 1,200 company representatives.

Participants were given an update about Zhuhai's current development situations and its support policies in terms of cost reduction, financial aid, and talent protection.

According to Zhuhai Vice Mayor Zhu Qingqiao, Zhuhai has ushered in another historic development opportunity since it was designated a Special Economic Zone in 1980. In the context of the 40th anniversary of Reform & Opening-up, the construction of the Greater Bay Area has accelerated and been further promoted with the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and Hengqin Free Trade Zone.

Zhuhai welcomed investment and cooperation on strategic emerging industries such as the digital economy, new energy and new energy vehicles, new materials, and the marine economy, Zhu added.
