Cultural establishments to enrich spiritual life

Five art centers have been opened in Xiangzhou, Zhuhai, and more are still being built. The district is striving to create a rich cultural atmosphere where public cultural facilities will always be within a 10-minute walk or bike ride.

The art centers are located in Shishan, Gongbei, Meihua, and Qianshan sub-districts, as well as Nanping Town.

Hongshan Civil Art Center

Location: #163 Hongshan Road

With a total floor space of 1,530 sq m, this art center provides space for various cultural activities and a more-than 1,600 sq m classical garden. The architecture is a perfect blend of traditional and modern Chinese styles. With seven of its 14 functional zones opened to the public, the center has attracted many residents interested in reading, singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, and calligraphy.

Hongshan Civil Art Center

Qianshan Civil Art Center

Location: #188 Yixian Road

This six-floor building is decorated beautifully, with each floor dedicated to a specific activity ranging from reading to lecturing to dancing. It also provides an opportunity to learn about life science and displays works of art.

Nanping Citizen Arts Center

Location: near Rong Hong (Yung Wing) Square on the corner of Nanping street

Consisting of two separate buildings, this art center has a total floor space of 2,000 sq m. The east building includes exhibition halls, multi-purpose rooms, and spaces for music events. The west building features a room reserved for kids and a place to play piano, practice calligraphy, sing traditional operas, and learn traditional arts and crafts.

Gongbei Lian'an Civil Art Center

Location: #108 Lian'an Road

This art center is the largest community culture service station in the area, covering an area of 4,783 sq m. It includes 14 separate areas for reading, playing musical instruments, and displaying new technology.

Shishan Civil Art Center

Location: #86 Anping Road

This art center provides various facilities to meet the needs of the residents of Old Xiangzhou. It gives people an opportunity to play chess, perform, read, and learn. Situated across from Xiangshan Park at the foot of Fengbo Mountain, the center offers a pleasant view of Xiangzhou.

Inside Shishan Civil Art Center

Other facilities, such as the Xianghzou District Library and Rong Hong (Yung Wing) Museum, are also great for learning about the city's rich culture and history.
