China International Fair for Investment and Trade

China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), approved by the State Council of the People's Republic of China, takes place on September every year in Xiamen, Fujian province.

CIFIT is currently China's only international investment promotion event aimed at facilitating bilateral investment. It's also the largest global investment event approved by UFI.

Straits Forum

Established in 2009, the Straits Forum has been serving as an important platform for promoting grassroots communications, exchanges in trade and cultural integration across the Taiwan Straits.

In addition to the forum itself, a raft of activities would be held each year in the cities of Fujian, such as Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou and Zhangzhou to boost cross-Straits ties.

Xiamen International Marathon

Launched in 2003, the Xiamen International Marathon is held in January each year. The event is one of China's premier marathons and is considered a Gold Label Road Race by the IAAF.

Digital China Summit

The first Digital China Summit is held on April 22 to 24 in Fuzhou, capital city of southeastern Fujian province.

The three-day event shined spotlights on China's e-governance, digital economy and smart society, as part of the country's broader push to seek new development through technological innovation.

21st Century Maritime Silk Road Exposition & Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade 

The Cross-Straits for Economy and Trade has been held in Fuzhou, Fujian province on May 18 each year since 1994.

It now has developed into an annual event for Fujian to facilitate its economic and trade cooperation and exchanges with Taiwan as well as the counties along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.

Ocean Cup China (Pingtan) International Cycling Tournament

The Ocean Cup China (Pingtan) International Cycling Tournament has been held in Pingtan, Fujian province in June each year since 2014.

The tournament is the first of its kind to combine ocean culture with a cycling race. It is also a highlight of the city’s World Ocean Day promotional campaign, which falls on June 8 every year.

The three-day event calls on people to live a green and low-carbon lifestyle and helps Pingtan turn into an international tourism island

"Common Homeland" Forum

The first "Common Homeland" Forum was held in June 2012. It is convened annually from June 14 to 16 in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone (PCPZ) in Fujian province.

The forum is an occasion for politicians, entrepreneurs and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to discuss the development of Pingtan, which aims to be a perfect place for Taiwan people to live and work in the Chinese mainland.

Cross-Straits Book Fair

Founded in 2005, the annual book fair is held alternately in Taiwan and Fujian's coastal city of Xiamen.

It has been an important platform for cross-Straits copyright exchanges, as statistics show a total of 2,360 cooperation agreements have been signed at the previous book fairs.

The 14th Cross-Straits Book Fair will be held in Taiwan from Aug 16 to 23.

Jinjiang Footwear & Sports Industry International Exposition

Jinjiang Footwear & Sports Industry International Exposition is held in April annually in Jinjiang, a county-level city in Fujian province to showcase latest sports goods the country offers to the world.

Jinjiang, a national-level sports goods manufacturing base is home to more than 3,000 shoe makers with an annual capacity of one billion pairs of sneakers, statistics show.

Shishi Fashion Week

Shishi Fashion Week is an annual fashion industry event, where foreign and domestic fashion designers, brands display their latest collections in runway fashion shows to buyers and the media.

The 2018 Shishi Fashion Week kicked off in Shishi, East China's Fujian province on April 17.

Shishi city, which is best-known for its casual wear, is one of the hotbeds of China's fashion industry.

Cross-Straits Tea Industry Exposition

The Cross-Straits Tea Industry Exposition is an annual event in Wuxyishan, a county-level city, Fujian province, which aims to enhance cross-Straits communication and cooperation in tea industry between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. As of end of 2017, the expo thus far has been held for eleven times.

Cross-Straits Machinery Industry Exposition

The expo, jointly sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, Fujian provincial government and the China Machinery Industry Federation, is an important communication platform for cross-Straits companies in the machinery sector.
