"Public art encourages people to get together and explore," said Yin Xiaofeng, professor and dean of the College of Fine Arts at Northeast Normal University. "It's as if the artists and visitors are collectively imagining what the cities of tomorrow might look like."

The event is a major cooperative effort between Changchun and Germany in the area of urban art and is co-hosted by the Changchun Urban Planning Bureau, Foreign Affairs Office of Changchun Municipal People's Government, Changchun Municipal Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Changchun Municipal Press and Publication Bureau and the Changchun Public Art Design Association.
