The scenic area, covering 3 square kilometers, gathers more than 70 springs, including the most famous ones: Baotu Spring, Black Tiger Spring and Five Dragon Pool. Of all the springs in Jinan, Baotu Spring stands out as it throws up water several meters in the air, a scene that has always been the first of the eight must-sees in Jinan since the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. The spring water that pours out also forms the moat and Daming Lake.

This scenic area has been a landmark in Jinan for generations and one of the most popular places to visit in the city.
