Lin made his remarks at the opening ceremony of GHM Summit for Young Leaders 2018, which was recently held in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province.
Many business opportunities have been created by the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and young people from the three regions should spare no effort to seize opportunities, said Lin who is also a former Party chief of Foshan and the deputy Party chief of Guangzhou.
Liu Bilan, director of Guangzhou Foreign Economy and Culture Development Association, said she hoped young people from the three regions will expand their cooperation in culture and education.
The association would like to act as a bridge and build a platform for young people from Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
Luo Qian, vice-chairwoman and secretary general of the summit, said Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao still have a big space for the expansion of cooperation in the finance industry in the years ahead. Cooperation is a win-win deal, she added.
Around 150 young business people, experts, scholars and talents from the three regions attended the summit.
