Old square gets modern makeover in Changchun

The industrial-looking streets, lamps and sculptures at the square give visitors a hands-on experience of the industrial culture of Jilin Diesel Engine Factory, an old state-owned factory founded in 1948.

Renamed "Jilin Diesel Engine Factory Cultural Square", it is evidence of the progress of the cultural industry and economic development in Erdao district, reflecting the past glories of China's era of rapid industrialization.
