Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone is located in Changchun, Jilin province, China. It was approved by the State Council as a state-level economic and technological development zone in April 1993.

Since it was founded 25 years ago, Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone has played a leading role in the industrialization of Changchun and Jilin city.

The zone has contributed significantly to the province’s development of the auto-parts manufacturing industry, the biochemistry industry, bio-pharmacy research and the opto-electronic manufacturing industry. In 2010, the industrial output value of the zone reached more than 100 billion yuan ($14.41 billion).

Seated at the center of the Northeast Asia Economic Circle, it has become a regional traffic hub and is one of the 15 deputy provincial cities, as well as a major city of the Changjitu area (Changchun city, Jilin city and the Tumen River region).

With the construction of Chang-Ji-Tu as a national strategy, Changchun Economic and Technological Development Zone makes the effort to promote the integrated and sustainable development of Changchun and Jilin.
