People who seek thrills and spills can go to the Shanghai Dungeon which started trial operations Sept 29.

The dungeons that originated in London are now scattered around the world in cities such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Edinburgh and San Francisco. They are uniquely thrilling attractions that will whisk visitors back to each city's perilous past.

The Shanghai Dungeon, following this tradition, is designed with 10 themed sections to display the legendary and perilous past of the city.

At the dungeon, visitors will be led into a mystic elevator by an evil-looking man and enter a secret underground passage where they will see pirates and troops defending the city. They will need to be on alert to escape from the "Mystic Men" who will be chasing them.

Tips:

1. The dungeon can hold a maximum of 36 visitors at one time. Please book entry time in advance when buying tickets.

2. Cellphones and cameras cannot be used in the dungeon, in order to give visitors a better experience.

3. Children aged under 12 are not suitable for playing this game.
