The Bayi (August 1st) Aerobatic Team of the Chinese PLA Air Force is ready to perform precision flying maneuvers in China's J-10 fighters at the Nov 6-11 Airshow China 2018.

They'll be joined by the Red Falcon (Hongying) Air Demonstration Team from Changchun-based PLA Air Force Aviation University flying Hongdu K-8 advanced jet trainers.

The Bayi Aerobatic Team, formed in 1962, is the flying ambassador of the PLAAF, performing at airshows in China and around the world.

The team debuted at the biennial State-level Airshow China in 1998. Its eighth Zhuhai appearance will be marked by steep aerial turns, extreme-low-altitude passes, and high-angled low-speed passes. They will also show four aircraft making highly difficult maneuvers, such as having two airplanes almost collide. In a united maneuver, all planes will trail brightly colored exhausts.

The Red Falcon was established in 2011 as one of three jet-powered aerobatics PLAAF teams.

Airshow China 2018, or the 12th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition, is to be held at an unprecedented scale at the Zhuhai Airshow Center in Jinwan District.
