Brazil's Embraer is placing its top-performing single-aisle jet, the E190-E2, on physical display at the 12th China International Aerospace & Aviation Exhibition from Nov 6 to 11 at the Zhuhai Airshow Center in Jinwan District.

The leading aircraft manufacturer has recorded strong sales in the Chinese market over the past 18 years, where 221 of its aircraft orders originated, according to Guan Dongyuan, president of Embraer China.

Embraer's ninth participation in the biennial event will highlight the first member of its E-Jets E2 family as the company looks to open new markets for its jet liner. The airshow exclusively approved by the Central government in China attracts buyers from across the globe.

The under-cockpit fuselage is painted to resemble a shark, perhaps because of its economy of movement -- it outperforms rivals with 10 percent less fuel consumption -- and maximum range of 2,880 nautical miles (3,314 miles). It is also environmentally friendly with minimal external noise and pollution emissions, according to Guan.

The aircraft can comfortably carry up to 114 passengers in a 2-2 seating configuration with ample room for luggage.

Showgoers may board the plane and will be given a virtual in-flight experience with visual reality technology.

More than 130,000 businesspeople and 240,000 other visitors are expected this year.
