Primary school students honor seniors in communities

Pupils of a revolutionary cultural juvenile troupe from Xilin South Road Primary School in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, celebrated Double Ninth Festival with activities at local communities Oct 15.

Also known as Chongyang Festival, Double Ninth Festival celebrates longevity, honors seniors and is usually celebrated on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, this year falling on Oct 17.

Honoring the traditions of the festival in a show of virtue, students prepared various performances for elderly people in communities, wishing them good health and a long life.
