Zhongtingjie Commercial Street

Located alongside the Minjiang River, north of Bayiqi Road in Taijiang district, Zhongtingjie Commercial Street can be traced back to the Northern Song Dynasty when an islet took shape in the River and a pavilion named Zhongting was later built on it, around which a market was formed and the area was developed into a prosperous commercial street.

As time passes by, the old Street vanished, and the new one was finished building in early 2002 at the old site, stretching 550 meters long and covering 250,000 square meters. It is now a large city complex integrating tourism, sightseeing, shopping, food, leisure and entertainment. The Street sets altogether eight trading blocks on both sides, four on the east side devoted to clothing wholesale, housing thousands of clothing brands famous in the city, provincial, national and international levels, and another four on the west side focusing on retailing, with commodities ranging from home appliances to leather goods.

The Street is also equipped with banks, restaurants, wedding photography shops and other supporting facilities.
