Jilin upgrades its postal service

Jilin Provincial Postal Administration has taken various measures to provide one-stop services for its citizens since 2016. Significant improvements have been made through its efforts.

A corporation agreement was signed between Jilin Post and the Traffic Police Department of the Public Security Bureau of Jilin province in June. Automobile drivers can now get their licenses replaced in the nearby post offices.

"I did all the required paperwork to replace my driver's license within 20 minutes at the post office and I got the new one the other day. This is very convenient!" said Wang Qi, a senior driver of Jilin.

The province's taxation department, health care department and social security department also worked with Jilin Post to provide postal services in the neighborhoods.

"It usually took me hours to wait in line at the Taxation Hall, now I can get my invoices issued at the post office downstairs," said Ge Shanhai, a citizen living in Yanji, Jilin Province.

The post office has sent a total of 480,000 invoices to nearly 120,000 citizens since 2016, saving them from running errands to the service windows.

Self-service terminals were also equipped in the post offices in Jilin, offering people a more convenient way to pay their taxes.
