A media convergence center was established in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, a banner under the administration of Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 28, reports Baotou Daily.

The media center is one of the 60 county-level media convergence demonstration bases currently operating in China.

The centers bring together traditional forms of media, such as radio and newspapers, with new media, such as online streaming sites.

A delegation consisting of officials from the Publicity Department of the Party Committee of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the Office of Cyberspace Affairs of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and the bureau of press, publication, radio and television of Baotou visited the central building of the media center under construction, where they learned about the main business of different departments of the media center.
