Wang Shijie, vice-governor of Guizhou province
Male, Han ethic group, born in February 1966, Wenling, Zhejiang Province, joined the work force in May 1992, member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang, postgraduate education, Doctor of Science, researcher.
Wang is currently the vice-governor of Guizhou Province, responsible for science and technology, health and family planning, food and drug supervision, press, publication, radio, film, television, sports, and production safety.
He is in charge of the Provincial Department of Science and Technology (Provincial Intellectual Property Office), the Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, the Provincial Bureau of Press, Publication, Broadcasting and Television (Provincial Copyright Bureau), the Provincial Sports Bureau, the Provincial Food and Drug Administration, Guizhou Academy of Sciences, the Provincial Academy of Social Sciences, the Provincial Government Counsellor's Office, the Provincial Museum of History and Culture, Provincial Archives Bureau (Provincial Records Office, Provincial Archives) and Guizhou Institute of Industrial Technology Development.
He is the liaison for the Provincial Association for science and technology, the Provincial Social Science Federation, the Red Cross Society and the Provincial Sports Federation.
