The Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone is offering up to 5 million yuan ($730,253) in subsidies to intelligent manufacturers and related companies wishing to purchase advanced equipment.

According to the new policy, pilot enterprises that lead in national intelligent manufacturing will be rewarded at a rate of 10 percent of the national financial reward amount, or up to 2 million yuan. Enterprises that have been successfully evaluated as national or provincial intelligent manufacturing pilot demonstration projects will be given a onetime bonus of 1 million yuan or 500,000 yuan, respectively.

The new policy also encourages enterprises to carry out intelligent technological transformation. The economic development zone will give subsidies to enterprises that transform their corporate structure with intelligent technology. Enterprises can receive subsidies of up to 5 million yuan, covering about 60 percent of the cost of intelligent equipment and industrial software inside the zone. The subsidy limit outside the zone is 30 percent, or no more than 2.5 million yuan.

In addition, the management committee of the Changsha Economic Development Zone will make a list of intelligent manufacturing service providers, giving priority to providing intelligent transformation services to enterprises in the zone, and awarding 100,000 to 500,000 yuan annually. National intelligent manufacturing service providers cultivated by enterprises in the zone will receive a one-time subsidy of up to 2 million yuan.

Enterprises that have been successfully evaluated as national industrial Internet projects will be rewarded 20 percent of the national financial reward amount, with a maximum of 5 million yuan. A one-time subsidy of 500,000 yuan will be granted to enterprises that have been named industrial Internet projects in Hunan province.
