Gree and CT team up to tap Dong'ao island tourism

Zhuhai Gree Group and China Comfort Travel (CCT) Group will work together to advance the 4-billion-yuan ($582-million) Lingding Seashore project on Dong'ao Island, and to bolster the island as a demonstration spot for all-for-one tourism.

In addition to resource integration, the companies will conduct all-round cooperation in cultural-tourist project consulting, design, planning, operations, and marketing under an agreement signed on Sept 14.

The 400,000 sq-m (99-acre) Lingding Seashore project will be built into an international high-end ecological tourism zone integrating wedding celebrations-honeymoons, healthcare, and parent-child entertainment in three phases.

The first phase: two five-star hotels, a Lingding Coastal Fishing Port (a large catering center) and other support facilities, have already been built.

Phase II will comprise wedding-themed, lodge, waterfront, and wellness hotels along with areas for wedding prayers, cultural experience, healthcare, coastal entertainment, marine living, dynamic leisure, and support facilities. Construction will commence this year and span the next six.
