The First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University, founded in 1937 is the largest tertiary hospital in southwestern Fujian. It’s the first hospital in China that has passed HIMSS EMRAM level-7 review and also got accredited by JCI (Joint Commission International). With 2,500 beds and 52 medical technology departments, the hospital served about 592 million outpatients and emergency patients, 150,000 inpatients, and performed 93,700 operations in 2017.
