Top 8 places to escape summer heat in Baotou (Part 1)

Baotou, the largest city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region as well as a city recognized for its greenery, is welcoming tourists from across the country to cool off this summer with its top-notch tourist attractions.

Mount Chunkun covers an area of 30 square meters. It is the largest alpine meadow grassland in the central and western part of the autonomous region and has a grasslands landscape and hot springs all year round.

It is a national 3A-level scenic area and in 2014 was recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture for its grasslands.

The main peak, Hongqi Peak, is 2,340 meters above sea level, which is the highest altitude in Baotou city. Even on the hottest days, tourists can feel the breeze standing on top of the peak.
