The second Mongolian Entrepreneurs Convention opened in the city of Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 23.
Sponsored by the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Government, the convention is hosted by the Ordos Municipal Government, the Inner Mongolia Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Inner Mongolia Office of Finance.
The opening was chaired by Wang Lixia, a member of the standing committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Regional Party Committee. Wang Lixia, Bu Xiaolin, chairwoman of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region, and Wang Wei, vice-chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), delivered speeches.
On behalf of the regional government, Bu extended a warm welcome to entrepreneurs from home and abroad. She said that Mongolian entrepreneurs have achieved an excellent level and contributed a lot to the development of Inner Mongolia.
She expected that entrepreneurs from Inner Mongolia, whether in outside the region, could connect their personal dreams with those of Inner Mongolia, promote their hometowns and make concerted efforts for a more beautiful Inner Mongolia.
Wang Wei commented positively on the convention, saying that it has become an important platform to connect Mongolian entrepreneurs around the world.
He expressed his hopes that the group of Mongolian entrepreneurs would fully explore and utilize the advantages of geography, resources and favorable policies in Inner Mongolia, and engage in economic growth in the region.
The Inner Mongolian Entrepreneurs’ Ordos Initiative was released at the opening ceremony.
An investment fair and a conference on how financial sectors can serve the development of the substantial economy are also scheduled.
