A press conference of China Inner Mongolia Culture Tourism Week was held in Ulaanbaatar on Aug 22, with the attendance of nearly 100 China-Mongolia officials and journalists.

At the press conference, Han Yunxiang, director of the Information Office of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, gave a detailed introduction to the culture week schedule.

He said that the cultural tourism week will be held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, from Sept 4 to 8, and it will primarily include exhibitions, cultural performances, film screenings, TV drama shows, volunteer Mongolian medical clinics, tourism promotion, inter-school exchanges, and media exchanges.

The culture week has provided a platform for local people to appreciate the traditional customs and unique artwork of Inner Mongolia, and has also facilitated the mutual understanding and friendship between China and Mongolia, according to Han.

The culture week will play a positive role in promoting mutual communication between the two countries and new agencies from Mongolia will put efforts into reporting the activities, said president of Journalists Association of Mongolia.

The event is organized by the Information Office of the State Council of China, the Embassy of Mongolia, the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Education and Culture Ministry of Mongolia, the Information Office of the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the Consulate General of Mongolia in Hohhot, and the Chinese Cultural Center of Ulaanbaatar.
