Chetian River Bridge, the first prefabricated bridge in Guizhou province, is currently having its supporting arches constructed.

The construction of the bridge started in 2016, and the main span was completed at the beginning of this year. According to the plan, the total length of the bridge is 2,700 meters and it will have six lanes in each direction.

Located on Yuheng Road in Guian New Area, the bridge will connect Guian New Area School Attached to Beijing Normal University, the Administrative Center of Guian New Area, Guian Financial Harbor, and Country Garden, creating a 10-minute living economic circle.

When completed, the bridge will promote the improvement of urban road lighting, public transportation and other livelihood facilities along Yuheng Road, and perfect the service function of surrounding areas.

Furthermore, the developers of Country Garden connected commercial residential buildings with shopping malls and formed a new urban cluster which allows residents of Country Garden to reach Tianhetan, Xingyue Lake Park and the National Sports Center through Yuheng Road.

To overcome welding difficulties, the project has applied several independently developed construction technologies which have won national awards and are currently in the process of being patented.
