The Jiangsu Branch is one of the oldest provincial-level subsidiaries of PICC Property and Casualty Company. It has built an institutional network across the province, including 13 municipal-level subsidiaries in cities such as Nanjing, Suzhou, and Wuxi, 109 district-level and county-level subsidiaries, and 1181 small branches, with a total of more than 8,500 workers.
In recent years, it has granted risk insurance for many key projects in Jiangsu, including Tianwan Nuclear Power Plant, Nanjing subways, Runyang Bridge and Sutong Bridge.
The PICC Property and Casualty Company, founded in July 2003, is currently the largest non-life insurance company on the Chinese mainland. Four months later, the company got listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
In 2008, the company was rated as A1, the highest level of credit rating granted by Moody’s, an authoritative international rating institution, for companies on the Chinese mainland.
