Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (China) Co Ltd (TMEC, 丰田汽车研发中心（中国）有限公司) is the sixth research and development center around the global established by Toyota Motor Corp in 2010.  

It aims to keep continuous innovations to develop vehicles with better quality but cheaper price, and high safety and comfortability, for consumers.

Located in Changshu Southeast Economic Development Zone of Jiangsu and covering an area of 2.34 square meters, TMEC got a total investment of 689 million US dollars with a registered capital of 234 million US dollars.   

The establishment of TMEC has promoted the rapid development of the scientific and technological platforms in Jiangsu province, such as the automobile R&D center and the metal material testing center. It also helped Jiangsu attract more than 30 companies related to auto parts production into Jiangsu.

Toyota is now the largest automobile company in Japan and one of the top ten automobile companies in the world founded in Aichi prefecture, Japan in 1933.
