Longyan First Hospital is a comprehensive hospital integrating healthcare, higher medical education and scientific research. Established in 1919, the hospital, the only tertiary hospital in the city, has more than 1800 inpatients beds, 36 clinical departments, 13 medical technology departments and 2084 staff. Its cardiovascular medicine, blood rheumatology, endocrinology, oncology, anesthesiology, gastrointestinal surgery, neonatology, respiratory medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics are municipal key disciplines.
