The Nanjing Institute of Industry Technology was founded in 1918 and formerly known as Zhonghua Vocational School founded by Huang Yanpei, a well-known democratic revolutionist in modern time of China. The school has cultivated 100,000 talents in various construction and management fields for a century. The school is adjacent to the famous Nanjing Zhongshan scenic area and has three campuses in Xianlin, Zhongshan and Tiantang. It covers an area of 1,360 mu (90.7 hectares). There are 13,000 students on campus. The institute offers programs on mechanical engineering, energy and electrical engineering, economics and management, computer and software, art and design, liberal arts, continuing education, international education, social sciences and sports.
