Children's Hospital of Shanxi

The Children's Hospital of Shanxi was established in 1947. It is an AAA Grade provincial hospital that offers comprehensive healthcare services for women and children in Shanxi province.

The hospital employs 2,471 people, with 1,268 staff members on its regular payroll. Its staff members include 311 who hold senior titles, as well as regional experts specializing in various disciplines. Nine members of staff are currently in receipt of a special allowance from the State Council. 

A total of 1,360 beds are available to patients and the hospital treats an average of 1.2 million outpatients and 48,000 inpatients each year. It also performs more than 18,000 operations annually. The hospital provides healthcare services for around 350,000 people per year. It is also affiliated to Shanxi Medical University and a member of Beijing Children's Hospital Group, carrying out teaching and scientific research for undergraduates and postgraduate students. 

The hospital covers an area measuring 22,215 square meters, and has a floorage space of 56,712 square meters. The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on Changzhi Road covers 46,000 square meters, with 177 beds open in the Neonatology Department, 123 beds in the NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) and 223 beds in the Maternity Department.
