The Butterfly Dream of Zhuang Zhou, a background story of Tencent smash mobile game King of Glory, has come to life at Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort, bringing visitors unprecedented entertainment with electrifying elements.

The Chimelong·King of Glory Summer Craze Season kicked off on July 23 in Hengqin New Area. Ocean Kingdom was transformed to a game battlefield through duplicated architecture and cutting-edge technologies. Visitors are led through the game's storyline.

Fun-seekers are greeted with a LED screen playing themed computer graphics (CG) related to Zhuang Zhou at the entrance of Ocean Kingdom. In the animation, Zhuang rides a Kun (giant fish in Chinese mythology), coming from far to near and roaming the sky.

Known as Zhuangzi ("Master Zhuang"), Zhuang Zhou was an influential Chinese philosopher who lived around the 4th century BC during the Warring States period. He had dreamt he was either a butterfly, or was butterfly dreaming that he was a man. He called the distinction the Transformation of Things, and that's what Chimelong has done in his name.

Bypassing the LED screen is a large statue of Zhuang Zhou and the Kun at the lakeside. Visitors can scan the monument with their cellphones and see both figures turn into smatterings of butterflies with the aid of augmented reality (AR) technology.

Players are tasked to collect the butterfly pieces at designated spots to reunite Zhuang Zhou and Kun. The most important piece can be found at the new theme zone -- Hero Island, the first of its kind in the country to integrate 5D original animation with themed amusement.

Those who collect all the pieces can join in the upgraded Ocean King nighttime parade and call up the Whale Shark King who transfigures to Kun in the fireworks show Ocean Resistance.

But that's not the ending of adventure. In addition to the King of Glory hero parade and samba, there are also stalls where visitors can get made up as game heroes, take photos with their faces attached to heroes, and write wishes about marine environment protection on Ocean Love Wall.
