Methanol fuel project nears completion in Baotou

A methanol clean fuel project developed by Inner Mongolia Junengxiang Chemical Industry Co is nearing completion, according to the development and reform bureau of Jiuyuan district.

Located in Jiuyuan Industrial Park, the project has received total investment of 100 million yuan ($14.73 million) and covers an area of 20 mu (1.3 hectares).

The project plans to use a purification process to produce methanol clean fuel.

It is expected to produce 20,000 tons of methanol clean fuel annually after completion. Annual sales income from the project is expected to be 30 million yuan, with taxes of 4 million yuan due to the government.
