Ordos products shine at Shanghai trade fair

Products made in Ordos stole the limelight at the three-day 2018 One Belt and Road Products Exhibition, which concluded at the Shanghai International Exhibition Center July 1.

A dozen companies registered for the exhibition, organized by the Ordos Council for the Promotion of International Trade, to showcase their locally made wares, from food and drink to handicrafts and fine cashmere items. 

Stands from Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, drew 30,000 visitors and sold 163,800 yuan ($24,689) worth of products. 

Ordos companies also confirmed preliminary cooperation with eight domestic and foreign enterprises with combined sales of 1.09 million yuan. 

A conference was also held during the exhibition, jointly arranged by the organizing council and Ordos Science and Culture Industrial Park management committee, with an agenda to promote and attract investment in the city.
