The drama Goldbach's Conjecture was staged in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on June 22, attracting more than 4,000 visitors from around the city.

As an original drama produced by Xiamen University (XMU), it tells the story of Chinese mathematician Chen Jingrun and his dedication to mathematics.

Xu Jingong, a director of publicity department at XMU said the students and teachers began composing since 2013, with the aim of passing down the spirit of Chen Jingrui.

The drama is part of a program organized by China Association for Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Science and Chinese Academy of Engineering to tell the stories of renowned scientists such as Deng Jiaxian, Qian Xuesen, Hou Debang and Luo Yang through dramas.

In partnership with universities, the program has organized 270 performances in cities like Beijing, Wuhan and Xi’an around the country to promote Chinese Scientists' spirit of fighting for the sciences.
