Tongli Ancient Town

Built in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), Tongli has a history of more than 1,000 years. It is home to many kinds of cultural relics and historic sites in the town, including the 650,000-square-meter well-preserved architecture of the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911).

It is also rich in culture. In the long run of its history, it was once famed for its achievements in imperial examinations and has produced famous confucianists and other notable people.
