Zhouzhuang Water Town

Zhouzhuang, situated in Kunshan city, only 30 kilometers southeast of Suzhou, is one of the most famous water townships in China. It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well-preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local traditions and customs.

In an area of 500,000 square meters, 60 percent of its structures were built during the Ming and Qing dynasties (1368-1911). Taking the most convenient form of transport in Zhouzhuang, a gondola, visitors can enjoy breathtaking sights one by one.
