The fourth Investing in Africa Forum (IAF), aiming to promote experience-sharing between China and Africa and accelerate investment in the African continent, will be held later this year in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, Hunan Daily reported on June 10.

Organized by the Ministry of Finance, the Hunan provincial government, the China Development Bank, and the World Bank, this year's IAF will include an opening ceremony, keynote speeches, roundtables, special forums, and investment promotion fairs.

Representatives and experts will travel to the central Chinese city to compare notes and share experiences centering on five themes: agricultural modernization, cultural education, new energy development, healthcare, digital economy, and innovation.

As an important resolution made at the Johannesburg Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2015, the IAF serves as a global platform for multilateral cooperation, promoting opportunities to increase investment in Africa.

China and African countries take turns hosting the forum every year. As of today, three sessions have been successfully held in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, and Dakar, capital of Senegal.
