Hohhot customs works to support trade

Hohhot customs announced eight new preferential policies to deepen reform and strengthen cooperation at a press conference on June 8.

The capital city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region is coordinating its policies to help implement the Belt and Road Initiative. The eight preferential policies include streamlining clearance procedures, improving the efficiency of the regional digital port system, deepening collaboration of domestic ports, transforming the structure of regional foreign trade, promoting Hohhot customs’ major cooperation projects, and building close ties with global customs organizations.

The policies not only cut costs for companies importing and exporting goods, but also increase the efficiency of entry-exit procedures.

Hohhot customs has signed a “Belt and Road” Memorandum of Cooperation with Tianjin customs, Manzhouli customs and Urumqi customs, which will take full advantage of regional ports connecting Asia and Europe and support economic cooperation in Tianjin, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang, creating an ideal environment for fast, efficient logistics.
