The Gaoxin Interchange in the National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone will be built to remove a barrier between Jinqin and Xingye express roads and give easy access to Gangwan Avenue, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway Link Line, and other arteries in the Tangjiawan area.

Jinqin Express Road is a key channel running through downtown Zhuhai from Qianshan to the Zhuhai Avenue Overpass Bridge in Nanping Town, whereas Xingye Express Road is a south-north highway being constructed from Jiuzhou Avenue in Jida to East Meihua Road in New Xiangzhou.

The interchange runs from west of the Jinfeng Road-Gangwan Avenue Intersection in Jinding, where an overpass connecting the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway Link Line and Jinqin Express Road north extension line will be built and continues southward to the north of East Jintang Road to access Xingye Express Road.

The overpass will have a designated speed of 60 km/h for the main line and 40 km/h for the auxiliary lane. The Gangwan Avenue-section flyover will extend 1.87 km (1.2 miles) and the Hagongda Road overpass will have a length of 1.82 km (1.1 miles).

A Zhuhai Communication Group subsidiary will be responsible for construction of the project.
