Hotrods liven things up at Zhuhai hot springs resort

Zhuhai Ocean Spring Resort will open South China's first holiday-themed autodrome (motorsports circuit) on June 11 to add thrilling elements to its hot springs culture, diversify, and tap into the family travel market.

The 209,333-sq-m (52-acre) Hunting & Zhuhai Ocean Spring Circuit came under construction last September. Once in operation, it can accommodate more than 500 tourists daily.

The track is 2.25 km (1.4 miles) long, with a width of 10 (10.9 yd) to 12 m (13.1 yd). It has 10 curves of different turning radii, with the longest straightaway of 620 m (678 yd).

Built to the F3 standard, the circuit can host international and domestic touring car racing, endurance motorcycle races, and supercar championships. It also provides professional testing services for driveline, steering, and braking systems.

From June 11 to 17, there will be a track carnival at the new circuit with refitted vehicle and vintage car exhibitions, go-kart races, an animation exhibition, and parent-child DIY activities.
