The first industrial park for prefabricated construction will open in Horinger county, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, in June, marking a new era in green construction for the city.

Sponsored by Joindo BROAD, the first phase of the industrial park will cover 85,000 square meters.

Hosting five modern PC assembly lines and one steel processing line in its smart factory, and equipped with an array of advanced technologies, the park will provide an annual capacity of 2 million square meters.

According to Xue Haiming, CEO of Joindo BROAD, it is estimated that products from the industrial park would enter the market in less than two weeks.

The industrial park has played a vital role in integrating the new construction materials industry with the first, second and third sectors, advancing the city’s industry-wide restructuring, said Chen Liyin, Horinger county mayor.

The local government has also taken active measures to aid the quick development of prefabricated construction in Inner Mongolia. The government will by 2025 increase its investment to 70 percent of that year's prefabricated construction projects.

Liu Gang, a 30-year construction engineer, said that the industrial park reflected the green construction outlook of Inner Mongolia’s development strategy, increasing both environmental and economic sustainability.

Prefabricated construction is applied widely in housing and municipal engineering projects including hospitals, schools, bridges and bus stations.
