Shanxi SOEs record Jan-April profits of 12.25b yuan

State-owned firms in Shanxi province maintained steady profits between January and April, with total profits of 12.25 billion yuan ($1.91 billion) recorded, up 201.57 percent year on year.

The total revenues of local SOEs amounted to 434.5 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year rise of 11.59 percent.

By the end of April, SOEs in Shanxi had paid taxes of 34.64 billion yuan, representing an increase of 21.98 percent year on year.
