The 20th China Grassland Culture Forum was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on May 12-13.

More than 250 experts, scholars, artists, researchers and entrepreneurs from China and countries including the United States, Korea, Japan, Mongolia and Kazakstan gathered at the forum to exchange ideas.

Vice-president of Inner Mongolia Ai Lihua met with representatives from countries like Kazakhstan, the United States, and Austria before the opening ceremony.

The forum begins with keynote speeches and includes sub-forums focused on Ulan Muqir art troupes; integrated ecological management, green energy economy and a preparatory meeting for Arxan forum, an unofficial and non-profit meeting themed“Build a Community of Shared Future for the Mankind”.

Inner Mongolia is an energy-rich area in North China. According to the experts, it should build a barrier for regional ecological security in the pursuit of economic growth.

They stressed that promoting green energy economy, adopting the theory of grassland culture, and exploring the integration of economic growth and ecological management are of practical significance for the steady development of Inner Mongolia.
