Alshaa promotes local tourism in Hohhot

Inner Mongolia's Alshaa League held a tourism promotion conference in Hohhot on May 4, with the aim of attracting more visitors to the area.

A popular vacation destination, Alshaa boasts rich natural and cultural landscapes, including the Badain Jaran Desert, one of the China's five most spectacular deserts' Guangzong Temple, a famous Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) Buddhist temple, and Moon Lake, a natural lake surrounded by the Tengger Desert.

Exploiting Alshaa's rapid aviation and travel development, the Hohhot-Alshaa Left Banner-Chongqing air route was established to encourage tourists from[MOU1]  Hohhot.

According to the Tourism Administrative Commission of Alshaa League, other such conferences will be held in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, and in Chongqing to demonstrate Alshaa’s scenic and cultural charms and promote cooperation between tourism enterprises in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, Shaanxi and Chongqing.
