Traditional medicine with ultramodern care: Jida

The new Inpatient Building of Guangdong Hospital of TCM Zhuhai opened on May 2, doubling the number of inpatient beds to more than 800 and adding over 300 parking stalls.

The eight-story annex on Jingle Road in Jida cost 500 million yuan ($79 million) and locally the hospital is called Zhuhai Zhōngyī Yuàn. It has a state-of-the-art Medicotechnical Department, operating rooms, intensive care units (ICU), central pharmacies, pharmacy intravenous admixture services (PIVAS), and endoscopy centers. The 9th to 25th floors of the main tower each have 40 inpatient beds. There are suites as well as single, double, and triple rooms.

Hospital lobby

A remote medical consultation center is located on the 26th floor. There, patients can make appointments with experts from renowned hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou to receive remote diagnoses and treatment services without leaving town. Local doctors can also have face-to-face video group consultations and receive remote instructions from said experts.  

In addition to cutting-edge medical treatment, the hospital provides a comfortable environment for rest and recovery. From the windows of the wards or corridors, patients can view Xianglu Bay to the north, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the east, Macau Peninsula in the south, and other natural scenery.

Advanced monitoring

Every two inpatient ward floors has a hanging garden, adding life and vitality. With access to a direct drinking water system, each ward provides patients with safe cold and hot drinking water.

Guangdong Hospital of TCM Zhuhai is a comprehensive Grade-III Class-A TCM facility. It combines medical treatment, preventive healthcare, rehabilitation, education, and scientific research. One of the city's top medical institutions in service capability, the hospital provides specialized treatment for nearly 800,000 patients and handles more than 6,000 operations annually.
