Otog Front Banner embraces goat rush

It’s been a rush season for local herdsmen and farmers trading goats at Sanduandi fair in Otog Front Banner in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

The fair is one of the largest livestock markets in Northwest China, and was expanded from 20,000 square meters in 1996 to 87,000 square meters. In 2017, the number of trading livestock reached 1.5 million, with a turnover of 1.01 billion yuan ($158 million).

Sanduandi livestock market opens every Friday and provides a settled venue for local farmers, herdsmen and dealers. It helps farmers to solve difficulties in selling their livestock and guarantees reasonable purchase prices among retailers.
