Haibin Beach (City Parlor) in Jida reopened its swimming area to the public on April 23. Mobile payment for parking and showers is now allowed and other facilities and security have been upgraded to improve the seaside experience.

The iconic Zhuhai scenic spot has been closed to swimming since Oct 17. Since then, quality fine sands were added to the beach, according to Xiangzhou Zhengfang Public Resources Operation.

Parking fees are now payable via a mobile app, which allows payment even after motorists leave the facility. An automatic license plate recognition system has greatly increased efficiency.

In addition, shower rooms and lockers were made easy to use with self-service facilities supporting mobile payment.

Measures were also taken to increase safety while swimming. Underwater obstacles were removed and reefs adjusted to eliminate hidden dangers. Safe swimming areas were designated based on analysis of water conditions. More reminders were posted offering safety tips and instructions for entering the water, along with additional safety ropes and other security items. There are also 21 lifeguards on watch around-the-clock.
