Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park

Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park is a development base for national online game and animation industries, an innovation and entrepreneurship base for high-end overseas talents and a national software base of the China Torch Program.

In January 2011, Tianhe district integrated Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park and the resources in the northeastern part of the district to build Tianhe Smart City.

In 2016, the total income of Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park stood at 180 billion yuan ($28.5 billion), up 12.02 percent year-on-year, with income generated by the software industry exceeding 154 billion yuan.

Guangzhou Tianhe Software Park boasts an ideal location close to Tianhe CBD and a mere 15-minute ride from Guangzhou International Convention Center, 18 minutes from Guangzhou Higher Education Mega Center and 30 minutes from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport.

It also has a favorable living and working environment, with nearly one third of its 20 square-kilometer core area being forested.

In the coming years, the park will provide over 2 million square meters of offices for startups and promote industry integration. Currently, the park is home to over 1,800 software and technology companies, with high and new technology companies accounting for over a third. Over 170 companies in the park have an annual turnover surpassing 100 million yuan and 650 companies have an annual turnover surpassing 10 million yuan.
