American Medical Center Shanghai is China's first Western day surgery center to specialize in sports medicine and orthopedics. It is led by physicians from the Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center, the Steadman Clinic, and Desert Medical Imaging, which are pioneering sports medicine clinics in the world.

AMC consists of four departments, i.e. Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, Family medicine, and Mental Health & Sports Psychology, and is well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities such as advanced X-rays, operating rooms, on-site pharmacy with an expansive stock of both Chinese and western medications, as well as a laboratory with the latest technologies.
