Founded in 1993 as a first joint-venture medical facility, International Medical Care Center (IMCC) of Shanghai General Hospital provides a wide range of medical services, health care, physical examination including 24-hour emergency, outpatient and inpatient treatment, VIP physical examination, and home-visit services.

IMCC consists of two divisions in the north and south, offering 6 VIP consulting rooms and 4 specialist consulting rooms for the Outpatient Department, and 70 VIP rooms for the Inpatient Department, including 4 central monitoring rooms and 4 VIP suites. It also collaborates with world-famous rescue organizations, medical insurance companies, and consulates in Shanghai.

Shanghai General Hospital was founded in 1864 by French Consuls as one of the largest and the earliest western medicine hospitals in China. It is now a Grade 3, Class A general hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University and has been awarded as a civilized model unit by Shanghai municipal government.
