The launch ceremony of the Gold Calabash Inner Mongolia Civil-military Integration Industrial Park was held in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on April 12.

The park, operated by Inner Mongolia Gold Calabash Big Data Co Ltd, is the first private civil-military integration industrial park in the country.

“Statistics from the Ministry of Civil Affairs reveal that the number of retired military personnel has reached 57 million in China, with 15,000 retiring each year in Inner Mongolia alone,” said Zhang Lijie, founder and CEO of Inner Mongolia Gold Calabash Big Data Co Ltd, speaking at the ceremony.

Zhang stressed that establishing a service platform to increase employment of retired and demobilized military personnel is of great practical significance.

She noted that the park would provide integrated services including legal consultancy, business management, financial support and skills training for retired and demobilized soldiers and officers.

According to the park, it would work with 1,500 companies to deliver 100 civil-military projects, providing job vacancies for nearly 3,000 demobilized military personnel.

“We will make great efforts to build the park into a leading demonstrative platform, in order to contribute to the local and national economy,” said Zhang.

During the ceremony, experts from Inner Mongolia University (IMU) and Inner Mongolia Electronic Commerce Promotion Association (IMECPA) were employed as strategy consultants of the park.

The industrial park also signed strategic cooperation agreements with 10 companies the same day, including Inner Mongolia Cloud Technology Data Service Co Ltd.
