Qingdao Shipyard Co Ltd (青岛造船厂) was established on the property of the state-owned Qingdao Shipyard after its restructuring and reorganization in 2008. 

The company consists of Qingdao Yangfan Shipbuilding Co, Ltd and Qingdao Shipyard Co, Ltd, and is capable of building all types of offshore support vessels, and bulk carriers/multi-purpose vessels with a maximum weight of 20,000 DWT and commercial vessels with a maximum weight of 300,000 DWT. 

The new shipbuilding base covers an area of 1,200 acres, is equipped with two dry docks (180mX28m, 480mX76m), the total length of its outfitting quay is 1,100 meters, its annual steel processing capacity is 200,000 tons, and its annual shipbuilding capacity is about 1.5 million DWT. 

The company has the ISO9001-2008 quality management system and occupational health and safety management system. Its main products includes large carriers, offshore support vessels, tugboats, tourist ships, official ships, engineering ships, warships. 

The company has established long term strategic relationships with principal domestic ship owners such as Sinopec, CNPC, China National Offshore Oil Corp., and China Communication Group. Its foreign partners includes ship owners from Japan, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Italy and other countries.
